The Kay Van Norton Centre for Wellbeing

The Kay Van Norton Centre for Wellbeing provides patients and their families undergoing cancer treatment with complementary therapies in a welcoming and healing environment, serving as a "home away from home." Originally purchased by Mrs Patricia Ritchie AM, the cottage was the original Patricia Ritchie Centre for Cancer Care and Research.

The cottage was refurbished in 2020, thanks to the generous support of Ms. Kay Van Norton Poche AO. The Centre offers connection and community for patients and their families facing a cancer diagnosis. Patients referred to the center can choose from various research-based complementary therapies to improve their quality of life and reduce treatment-related pain. Therapies include oncology acupuncture, massage, reflexology, counseling, yoga therapy, clinical pilates, and meditation.
